1. Review Key Information (15 mins)
- Job Description – Refresh your memory on what the company is looking for.
- Your Resume – Focus on achievements and projects relevant to this role.
- Company Info – Review their mission, products, recent news, and competitors.
- Key Talking Points – Rehearse 2–3 strengths and why you’re a good fit.
2. Prepare Your Environment (if virtual)
- Test webcam, microphone, and internet connection.
- Ensure good lighting and a clean, neutral background.
- Eliminate background noise and distractions.
3. Dress Professionally
- Dress as you would for an in-person interview.
- Feeling well-groomed boosts confidence.
4. Practice Calm & Confidence (10 mins)
- Deep breathing to reduce anxiety.
- Say positive affirmations:
- "I am prepared."
- "I am confident."
- "I’ve got this."
- Smile – it triggers calmness and positive energy.
5. Mentally Rehearse Answers (15 mins)
- Use STAR format (Situation – Task – Action – Result).
- Practice:
- “Tell me about yourself”
- “Why should we hire you?”
- “What is your greatest strength/weakness?”
- 1–2 behavioral questions using STAR.
6. Prepare a Few Questions (5 mins)

7. Hydrate (but Lightly)
- Sip water to stay fresh.
- Avoid caffeine or heavy meals if they make you uneasy.
8. Go Offline & Center Yourself (5–10 mins)
- Stop reviewing – give your brain a rest.
- Take 3–5 deep, slow breaths.
- Visualize walking into the interview calmly and confidently.
